Thank you, Plant Oxford – from MINI TAKES THE STATES 2018!

There have been two very special guests from the MINI Plant Oxford riding alongside motorers between Florida and Colorado on the eastern route of MINI TAKES THE STATES 2018.

Stuart Miles and Darren Moore travelled from England to Orlando, to join the eastern route where they have proved to be highly popular guests on MTTS, acting as the ‘eyes and ears’ for the MINI plant back in the UK. They have been listening to the comments and thoughts of customers and sending the feedback to their colleagues in Oxford.

Stuart, who is the Manager of Total Vehicle Quality Management and Plant Projects, and Darren, who is Production Group Leader, at Plant Oxford have also been enthusiastically raising money for MINI USA’s charity partner on MTTS 2018, Feeding America.

At the Rise & Rally on day five of the ‘Rally to the Rockies’, they auctioned two of the 40 special commemorative T-shirts that were produced for them to wear while on the rally. The bids rose to a combined total of £500, sufficient to pay for 2,000 meals for those in food insecurity in the Oklahoma City area.

They also recorded a special ‘thank you’ video message from many of the hundreds of motorers who gathered at Remington Park, in Oklahoma City, which was sent back to the staff at Plant Oxford as a show of gratitude and appreciation for their work in building their MINIs.
