The Greatest Car Show in Town

Of all the towns and cities that MINI TAKES THE STATES 2014 passed through on its route from San Francisco to Boston, one of the warmest and most enthusiastic welcomes for the rally was seen in the communities of Batavia and Le Roy, in Genesee County, western New York State.

Hundreds of residents lined the streets to greet the coast-to-coast rally as Motorers arrived in the area to visit the Jell-O Museum in Le Roy on a break in their drive on the penultimate leg of MMTS 2014.

The visit of MMTS 2014 to the Jell-O Museum had been publicized in advance by newspapers in the area and residents took advantage of perfect summer weather to enjoy a free moving car show as hundreds of MINIs and their owners called at Le Roy’s famous tourist attraction.

Among those watching and waving to the Motorers were Jan and Judy Brederson of Webster, New York, who bought a MINI Coupe three years ago. “When we heard that MINI TAKES THE STATES was going to pass through Le Roy, we just had to be here to see it,” said Judy.

Jan, a self-confessed MINIAC, said: “This is one of the best parades I’ve ever seen. We’re so happy to see so many great MINIs passing through here.”
