Michelle takes her virtual husband on MTTS

When Michelle Rosenberg’s husband Howie had to return to work early and was unable to continue driving with her on MINI TAKES THE STATES 2018, she was determined that he would stay with her on the Rally to the Rockies in some way.

So Michelle, of Boynton Beach, Florida, made sure that he was there in spirit by taking a cut-out likeness of him with her all the way to Keystone, Colorado, after he had to return to work following the first two legs of the eastern route of the rally in Florida.

The cut-out of Howie, who works at Vista MINI in Coconut Creek, has been nicknamed ‘Flat Howie’ and has been riding alongside Michelle and her friend Jackie Hardy, of Hollywood, Florida, in a 2013 MINI Roadster. The likeness has been appearing regularly in photographs along the way, posted on Facebook at #flathowie.

It’s not the first time Flat Howie, photographed here with Michelle and Jackie as the rally prepared to depart from Dodge City on day seven, has been seen on MTTS as he was taken on the 2016 rally too.
