Through Texas Rolling Hills to the Big City

The number of Motorers joining MINI TAKES THE STATES continues to grow as the coast-to-coast rally heads east across the USA.

As the 5,200-mile rally from San Francisco to Boston prepared to pass its half-way point, over 350 MINIs and gathered in front of the Capitol Building in the Texas capital city, Austin, before departing for the big city lights of Dallas.

Part way through the 289-mile journey on the seventh leg of the marathon journey, Motorers had the chance to see some exotic wildlife close-up at the Franklin Drive Thru Safari in Franklin.

A special Texas welcome greeted the owners when they arrived in Dallas where they were treated to an unforgettable evening party, sponsored by the Dallas MINI dealers, at the world  famous Gilley’s Dallas.

The second half of the rally begins as the MINIs cross the plains of Oklahoma and then on to the home of the blues and birthplace of rock ‘n’ Roll in Memphis, Tennessee.
