WHEN 4,400 MILES JUST ISN’T FAR ENOUGH

For most of the 900 motorers on MINI TAKES THE STATES who are be ‘going all the way’ on the epic cross-country drive through 15 cities and 18 states from Georgia to California, a drive of 4,400 miles is probably sufficient.
 
But there are many other MINI enthusiasts who have brought their cars to MTTS 2016 and have chosen to drive thousands of miles to the starting point even before the green flag dropped in Atlanta.
 
Take for example Harvey Woo and Clare Durand of SoCal MINI Maniacs who have joined this year’s MTTS for the first time and are going all the way to Palm Springs. Along with several fellow members of SCMM, they drove their MINI from California to Atlanta to be in place for the start of the rally, covering over 2,800 miles on the way – an additional seven-day motoring adventure that they really enjoyed.
 
An adapted magnetic MTTS 2016 route map on the side of their MINI now proudly displays the route of their own epic pre-drive across the country from West to East.
