Their first time on MINI TAKES THE STATES...and loving it!

MINI enthusiasts Mike and Niki Pumphrey were delighted when it was announced that MINI TAKES THE STATES 2016 would be passing through their home state of Maryland, because it gave them the chance to join their first-ever MTTS.

Mike and Niki, who live in Westminster, Maryland, have every reason to join the biennial celebration rally because they own no less than three MINIs... and their daughter Gwyn even owns a fourth.

Their impressive family collection comprises of a 2012 Clubman S and a 2012 Convertible, and they are driving their third MINI, a 2012 Hardtop S, on the rally between Baltimore and Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Explaining his MINI mania, Mike said: "I was a tried and true VW guy until I test drove a MINI and from then, that was it. Each of our MINIs puts a grin on our faces from ear to ear and it always feels like it is driving on rails."

"Whenever I am in my MINI, it makes me feel like I'm back in my twenties," said Mike, who with Niki are members of the Central Maryland MINI Motorists club.
