TOGETHER WE COULD PROVIDE A MILLION MEALS!

The generosity of motorers looks set to #DefyHunger in the most spectacular way – by exceeding the original target to provide more than 800,000 meals to families in need during MINI TAKES THE STATES 2016.
 
After four days of MTTS, the total number of meals provided had reached 775,069 with $70,461 raised. This year’s charity partner, Feeding America, and organizers of MTTS 2016 have now revised their predictions and are confident that the total can exceed one million meals provided by the time the cross-country rally reaches Palm Springs, California, on July 22.
 
MINI Clubs and other teams who are taking part in the 4,400-mile motoring adventure are offering magnificent support to the efforts to defy hunger and after three days, the highest amounts raised so far by three of those teams were revealed. Leading the pack are ‘Sign My MINI!’ with $3,270 raised (35,966 meals), followed by Team MINIons with $3,110 raised (34,210 meals) and The Just Us League with $2,190 (24,090 meals).
 
Feeding America is the nation’s largest relief organization of its kind dedicated to fighting hunger through a network of food banks.
 
Participants in MTTS 2016 are contributing in various ways, including raising funds and awareness as they motor across the country. In addition to bringing food donations directly to the start of the event each day where a local MINI dealer collects donations and delivers them to a local Feeding America food bank, they are also taking part in volunteer activations at food banks in their own communities or along the MTTS route.
