MINIS MAKE IT TO THE MACK

Woodcliff Lake, NJ,  July 13, 2016. As the monster piece of moving machinery that is MINI TAKES THE STATES 2016 continued to head north on day six of the 14-day cross-country rally, the record temperatures and high humidity experienced by motorers further south gave way to cooler conditions and torrential rain in Michigan.

With over 1,700 miles of the 4,400-mile motoring adventure completed, the rally traversed the full length of the state of Michigan from the motor city of Detroit to St Ignace in the state's Upper Peninsula.

The ‘track to track' theme of the 14-day motoring adventure continued when hundreds of MINIs came together at the M1 Concourse, a brand new racetrack in Pontiac, MI, for the start of the 326-mile journey northwards.

The day's drive concluded as the MINIs drove over a structure that has been made world famous by record attempts of MINI enthusiasts, the five-mile long Mackinac Bridge.

After the stop in St Ignace, MTTS 2016 starts its journey westwards to California through the sparsely-populated Upper Peninsula on the 252-mile leg to Green Bay, WI.
